One club can no longer see the name of another
Switching between clubs was being written into the audit log, which filled it with entries nobody needed and showed each club the name of the other club a shared member belongs to.
- FixedIf you belong to more than one club, switching between them is no longer recorded in the audit log. It changes which club you are looking at, not anything in the club, so there was nothing in it for an officer to learn.
- FixedThose entries also named the other club. A switch is a change to the person rather than to a club, so it reached both clubs' audit logs and showed both club names in each. No club should learn from an audit entry which other clubs its members belong to. The entries already recorded have been removed.
- ImprovedNothing else about the audit log changes. Who changed what, when, and the value before and after are all recorded exactly as before, and an officer of either club still sees a genuine edit to a shared member's record.

Tell the brief what altitude you are flying
The go/no-go brief now asks for your cruise altitude and works out where the freezing level is, so an icing advisory above you stops counting against you.
- NewThere is an Altitude box on the Weather Brief, and one on a reservation with a route. Enter your planned cruise altitude and the brief only counts advisories your flight would actually fly through. Put it on the reservation and your briefing emails use it too. Leave it blank and nothing changes: the brief assumes a typical light-aircraft cruise of 12,000 ft, exactly as before.
- FixedAn icing AIRMET issued from the freezing level upward no longer forces a NO-GO on a clear day. That advisory names no fixed height, so the brief had been treating it as though the ice started at the ground, which failed the known-ice check on any aircraft not approved for it. The brief now works out the freezing level from the winds aloft temperatures along your route and compares it to your altitude. Ice at 11,000 ft is not your weather at 6,500 ft.
- ImprovedThe brief always shows the altitude and the freezing level it judged against, on the line above the score, so you can see the reasoning rather than take the verdict on trust. An advisory set aside is still listed, marked info only, and now says why in your terms: based at the 11,000 ft freezing level, above your planned 6,500 ft.
- FixedAn icing AIRMET based at the freezing level used to be printed as being from the surface, which overstated it. It now reads from the freezing level.
- ImprovedYour altitude cuts both ways. A flight planned at 3,500 ft no longer counts an advisory based at 8,000 ft, and a flight planned at 16,000 ft now counts advisories the old assumption dropped. Thunderstorm advisories always count, whatever altitude you enter.

A forgotten check-in no longer grounds the airplane
An old open flight was still blocking new dispatches on that airplane inside the app, even though the rule behind it had already been relaxed.
- FixedA flight left open more than a day and a half ago no longer stops anybody dispatching that airplane. That was already the rule, but the reservation screen had not been given it, so a check-in somebody forgot weeks earlier left the tail with no Dispatch button at all and nothing to press. If this caught you, that reservation works normally again.
- ImprovedWhen the open flight is your own, the message says so and tells you to check that flight in first, rather than reading as though the airplane is with somebody else who happens to have your name.
- ImprovedThe message now names the date the airplane went out, not just the time of day.
September 7, 2026
One aircraft, one flight at a time
An aircraft that is already checked out can no longer be checked out by a second person, and the permissions on dispatch and check-in have been tightened.
- ImprovedAn aircraft that is already checked out to somebody can no longer be checked out by a second person. Before this, if a flight was still open, the next member could dispatch the same airplane anyway and both would hold an open Hobbs reading, which is how a member ends up billed for a flight they did not make.
- ImprovedThe reservation now tells you before you click: it names who has the aircraft, when they took it, and that it has to be checked in first. This one has no admin override, because no amount of permission puts an airplane in two places at once. If somebody forgot to check in, close their flight out first and then dispatch normally.
- ImprovedA flight left open for more than a day and a half is treated as a forgotten check-in rather than an airplane that is still away, so it does not hold up anybody else. It still shows on the Schedule and still gets chased by the overdue emails until someone closes it out.
- ImprovedTightened the permissions on dispatching and checking in a flight, so both are limited to the pilot, their instructor on that booking, and club admins. Nothing to do at your end.
September 7, 2026
Late flights stand out
A flight that is still checked out past its end time now changes color on the Schedule, and your club can have Cleared360 email the pilot and alert your officers.
- NewA flight that has been checked out and is still not checked in 30 minutes after its end time no longer looks like every other flight in progress. The reservation turns from green to rose, with a dashed outline and an alert icon, and stays that way until somebody checks in or extends. Shop time counts too: an aircraft signed out to maintenance and not signed back in is still an aircraft that is not on the field.
- NewThe pilot gets an email telling them how late they are and when the next reservation on that aircraft starts, or that nobody is booked after them. It links straight to the reservation, where Extend is, so a flight running long can be put on the schedule properly instead of just running over.
- NewLater, your club gets an overdue alert. It goes to admins, anyone with the Safety role, and anyone else you add by name. Most overdue flights turn out to be a forgotten check-in, but this is the prompt to find out which, and to start looking if the answer is not the easy one.
- NewBoth timings are yours to set under Settings, Alerts, Overdue flights. The pilot email starts at 30 minutes and the club alert at 2 hours out of the box, and either can be switched off by setting it to zero. Each notice goes out once per flight, so an aircraft that stays out for days does not turn into a stream of email.
- NewThe emails start from today. If your club has old flights that were never checked in, they will show on the Schedule but nobody is emailed about them, because an alert about a flight from last month is not something anyone can act on. The same applies if you switch the emails off and on again later.

Your logo on your statements
Statements of account now carry your club's logo and color, which finishes the branding work: app, emails and documents all follow the color you pick.
- NewA statement of account, whether you download it or email it to a member or a hangar tenant, now shows your club's logo at the top and your club's color on the title. Nothing else changes: the figures stay black on white, because a statement is a financial document before it is a piece of branding.
- ImprovedClub logos are PNG or JPG from now on. WebP is no longer accepted, because it cannot be placed in a PDF, and a logo that appears in the app but vanishes from your statements is worse than asking for the other format. If you uploaded a WebP, re-upload it as a PNG.
September 4, 2026
Club emails in your club's colors
The color and logo you set now carry into the emails your club sends, and a flight review line that had been wrong in every briefing email is fixed.
- ImprovedBooking confirmations and cancellations, club announcements, plane-down notices, maintenance reminders, squawk alerts, weather briefings, meeting reminders and the weekly action item digest all arrive in your club's color, with your club's logo at the top if you have uploaded one. Nothing to turn on: set the color once in Settings and the emails follow.
- FixedBriefing emails told every pilot their flight review was "not on file", even when their club had recorded one, and a lapsed flight review was never called out in the email at all. Both are fixed. The briefing inside the app was always right, so this only ever affected the emailed copy.
- ImprovedEmails from Cleared360 itself, like your feedback replies and account notices, stay in Cleared360 navy, so it is clear which are from your club and which are from us.
September 4, 2026
Your club, in your club's colors
A club can now choose the color members see across Cleared360, from a set of eight or its own exact brand color, and put its own logo at the top of the sidebar.
- NewAn admin can set the club's color in Settings, on the Booking tab, under "Your club's look". Pick one of eight, and the whole app changes with it: the sidebar, the buttons, the badges. Members see it the next time they open Cleared360. If anyone in your club flies with more than one club, this is what tells them at a glance whose schedule they are looking at.
- NewYou can also type your own color, as a hex value like #B91C1C or an rgb() triple, and match your club's branding exactly. A color too pale to carry white text gets darkened a little first, and the page tells you when that happens and shows you what it will use, so nothing changes behind your back.
- NewUpload your club's logo and it replaces the Cleared360 mark at the top of the sidebar, with "Powered by Cleared360" underneath it. A wide logo on a transparent background works best, around 400 by 72 pixels, and pale artwork reads better than dark since it sits on your club color.
- ImprovedClub emails and statements still arrive in Cleared360 navy for now. Carrying your color and logo into those is the next piece of this work.

When a reservation moves, everyone knows
Changing the time on a reservation now emails the pilot and the instructor, replaces the calendar invitation, and asks an instructor who requires approval to accept the new time.
- FixedMoving a reservation to a different time told nobody. The pilot and the instructor are now both emailed when a reservation moves, naming who moved it and showing the old time beside the new one. Whoever made the change is not emailed about their own edit.
- ImprovedThat email carries a calendar invitation which replaces the one already in your calendar, so a moved flight moves in Google, Apple or Outlook instead of leaving the old time sitting there.
- NewAn instructor who requires approval is asked to accept the new time, and the reservation goes back to waiting on them. Approval is per time, not per booking: the time they agreed to is not the time on it any more. An instructor who declined a booking stays declined and is not asked again.
- ImprovedThe booking form says so before you save. Editing a reservation now warns that moving the time will ask the instructor to accept it again, and tells you when the new time falls outside their declared teaching hours. Neither one stops you saving.

Scheduled emails are sending again
Weather briefings, booking reminders, club meeting reminders and the weekly action item digest stopped going out on August 17. They are sending again, and the two faults that let it go unnoticed are fixed as well.
- FixedEvery scheduled email stopped sending on August 17 and is now sending again: weather briefings at seven days, three days, one day and the morning of a flight, booking reminders to pilots and instructors, club meeting reminders, and the weekly action item digest. Nothing was lost from anyone's schedule and no reservation was affected. The emails simply did not go out, and they resume on their normal cadence from the next flight due a briefing.
- FixedClubs with no reservations booked in the week ahead were not receiving meeting reminders or the weekly action item digest at all, whether or not anything else was wrong, because those emails were only sent on a pass that started with flights to brief. They now send on their own.
- ImprovedThe four kinds of scheduled email are now independent of one another, so a problem with any one of them can no longer stop the other three.
August 30, 2026
Book it once, fly it all season
Recurring bookings: a weekly lesson slot or a monthly club flight can be set up once, and every date becomes its own reservation.
- NewClub admins and instructors see a Repeats picker in the booking dialog: weekly, every 2 to 4 weeks, or monthly on the same weekday (the first Tuesday, say), with a last date up to a year out. Book series creates each date as an ordinary reservation, up to 52 of them.
- NewEvery date passes the same checks as a booking made by hand. A date that conflicts with an existing reservation, or is blocked by a club rule, is skipped, and the dialog lists exactly which dates were skipped and why. One summary email covers the whole series instead of one per date.
- NewRecurring reservations show a repeat icon on the Schedule, and each one is still an ordinary booking: edit, dispatch, or cancel any single date on its own. Cancelling one also offers to cancel this and every later date, or all upcoming dates in the series. Flown and in-progress flights are never touched, and a series cancellation sends one summary email too.
- FixedIn Safari, typing a date could leave the box looking filled while the app never received it, because Safari paints the untouched parts of a half-typed date with today's numbers. Date boxes now turn red on a half-typed date and say what is missing.
August 29, 2026
Post it to the right account, first try
Posting a ledger entry now starts with the account, so the account you want is never hidden by the entry type. Plus a handful of booking rules that only the booking window used to check.
- ImprovedPosting a charge or payment on a member or a billing account now starts with the account. Pick "Prepayment" or "Sales" from one list grouped under Income, Payments and Credits, and whether it books as a charge, a payment or a credit follows from the account automatically. Choose Unassigned to pick the type by hand, like before.
- ImprovedA short line under the picker says exactly how the entry will post ("Posts as a payment (money received)"), and a Manage accounts link jumps straight to your club's account list in Settings > Billing.
- FixedFlight charges that were corrected before mid-August now carry their Flight Income account on reports and the QuickBooks export instead of showing as Unassigned.
- FixedA few booking rules the booking window already applied are now enforced everywhere: a reservation cannot end before it starts, cannot be edited into a past date, and cannot be stretched past your club's maximum reservation length.
August 28, 2026
Flights that start somewhere other than home base
Route bookings now take a departure airport, for the flight that starts where the plane already is rather than at the home field.
- NewBooking a cross-country (or any flight type that asks for a route) now shows a Departure box next to Destination, pre-filled with the aircraft's home base. Change it when the flight starts somewhere else, say the return leg of a trip, and leave it alone for the usual case. Blank means home base.
- ImprovedYour scheduled briefing emails brief the airport you actually leave from: the departure forecast, the route corridor, and the arrival estimate all start at the departure on the booking rather than assuming the home field.
- ImprovedThe booking details and stored briefings show the real departure on the route line, and "Open live brief" on a past briefing loads the Weather page with it.

A Board Member role: oversight without the keys
Clubs can give board members read-only access to the reports, so the board sees the club's numbers without holding full admin.
- NewA new Board Member role can be assigned on the Members page. A board member can open the Reports page and read the financial summary, income by account, member activity, the flight log, and the club roster report, but cannot change or delete anything a regular member cannot. The permissions table in the Help Center has a Board column showing exactly where the line sits.
- NewBoard members can also be included in maintenance and aircraft alert audiences, and a club admin can choose to let them organize club meetings from Settings. Neither happens unless you turn it on.
- FixedDownloading or emailing your own statement of account works again for every member. A change on August 26 accidentally limited statements to admins and treasurers.
August 28, 2026
Instructors at two clubs, without the double entry
For instructors who teach at more than one club on Cleared360: enter time off once and apply it everywhere, copy your weekly hours across, and no club can book you over a commitment at another.
- NewWhen you add time off, a new Also apply at my other clubs switch writes the same entry at every club where you instruct, in one save. Each club gets its own entry, so removing one at one club leaves the others in place. If a club already has a lesson booked inside the range, nothing is saved anywhere and the message names that club so you can sort it out first.
- NewThe availability card on your Instructor tab can copy your weekly teaching hours over from another of your clubs with one click. The copy only adds: anything you have already set at the club you are in stays exactly as it was, and the two grids stay independent afterward.
- ImprovedThe double-booking protection now looks across clubs. If you are committed at one club, whether a flight lesson, ground instruction, or time off, another club can no longer book you over it. The other club is only ever told you are not available at that time, never why or where.
August 28, 2026
One aircraft's month at a glance, maintenance included
Month view can be narrowed to a single aircraft, with that aircraft's upcoming maintenance intervals shown right under the calendar.
- NewThe Schedule's Month view has an All aircraft dropdown. Pick a tail number and the calendar shows only that aircraft's reservations, which makes finding a free weekend on the airplane you want quick. While one aircraft is selected, tapping an empty day starts a booking on that aircraft directly, without asking which one.
- NewWith one aircraft selected, its maintenance intervals appear under the calendar: every open reminder, soonest first, with the due date or meter reading and the time or hours remaining. Anything past due shows in red, so you can see an annual or 100 hour inspection coming before you plan a long trip around it.
August 28, 2026
Flight log and club roster reports
Two new reports for club officers: every completed flight line by line, with an aircraft filter for one tail's rental history, and a printable roster of your members.
- NewThe Reports page has a Flight log tab: every completed flight over any date range, one line each, with pilot, aircraft, flight type, instructor, Hobbs and tach hours, and landings if your club records them. Narrow it to one aircraft to see that tail's rental history. The CSV adds the meter readings out and in for every flight. Available to admins, treasurers, instructors, and safety officers, like the Activity tab.
- NewA new Roster tab lists every current member with their email, phone, membership type, roles, and certificates and ratings, sorted by last name, ready to print or download as a CSV. Visible to admins and treasurers.
August 28, 2026
Send an announcement to exactly the people it concerns
Club announcements can now go to hand-picked members, not just the whole club or a role. Pick the people by name and only they see the post and get the email.
- NewWhen you write an announcement, the audience row now has a Specific people option: a searchable list of your members. Tick the ones the post is for, for example the three partners in one aircraft, and only they see it in the Clubhouse and receive the email.
- ImprovedA post sent to specific people shows its recipients a count, not the list of names, so a note to a few members stays between the club and those members. Admins can still see who a post went to.
August 27, 2026
Close an urgent announcement and it stays closed
The urgent announcement banner above the Schedule used to come back on every visit, even after you had read it and closed it. Closing it now sticks.
- FixedThe X on the pinned announcement banner above the Schedule is now a real acknowledgment. Close a notice and it stays closed for you, across visits, logins and devices. Everyone else in the club still sees it until they close it themselves.
- ImprovedIf the club edits an announcement after you closed it, it comes back, so changed information gets seen. Opening a post in the Clubhouse still marks it read and clears your unread count, exactly as before.
August 25, 2026
Your flights, in your own calendar
Subscribe once and your Cleared360 flights show up in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook and keep themselves current. No file to download, nothing to re-import when something moves.
- NewOpen Settings and find Calendar feed under your profile. Copy the link, add it to your calendar once, and your flights appear there from then on. New bookings arrive on their own, changes follow, and a cancelled flight is marked cancelled rather than sitting there forever.
- NewIt carries your own flights, whether you are the pilot or the instructor, plus ground instruction you are booked for. Club meetings are included too, with a switch on the same card if you would rather they were not.
- NewApple Calendar and Outlook subscribe in one click from the card. Google Calendar needs the link pasted into Other calendars, then From URL.
- ImprovedThe link is private to you, so treat it like a password. If it ever gets out, Reset link on the same card kills it and gives you a new one.
August 25, 2026
Currency dates, entered the way you prefer
Every currency date box already took either the date you did the thing or the date it expires. Now each box remembers which way you chose, so you set it once per item instead of once per visit.
- ImprovedUnder every currency date box there is an "Exact date" link. It switches the box from "tell us when you did it and the expiration is worked out for you" to typing the expiration straight in, with a link back the other way. That choice now sticks. Put your medical on exact dates and it stays there, while night currency keeps the calculator.
- ImprovedThe preference is remembered per item, so setting one does not change the others, and it lives in the browser you set it in. Nothing changes for anyone who never touches it, and your club sees the same dates either way.
- ImprovedEvery on/off switch in the app is now the same control. They used to be drawn in six sizes and three colours depending on the page, and the older ones read as decoration rather than as something you press.
August 24, 2026
Count landings, and make club currency a rule
Check-in can now ask how many landings a flight had, and the Club recency light on your roster grows into a real club currency rule: a window, and the hours and landings a member needs inside it.
- NewSettings, then Billing, then Flight and fuel, has a new switch: Landings at check-in. Turn it on and the check-in form asks how many landings the flight had, and asks for it every time. Leave it off and check-in is exactly as it is today.
- NewThe Club recency light is now Club currency. Alongside the window you already set, you can require a minimum number of hours and a minimum number of landings inside it. A club running the common rule sets 90 days, 1 hour and 3 landings, and a member who falls short reads red with the shortfall spelled out, for example "2 landings in the last 90 days, and the club requires 3".
- NewIf you want the rule enforced rather than just shown, the Blocks booking and Blocks dispatch switches on that item do it, the same as every other standing rule. Adding an instructor to the booking lifts club currency, because the checkout flight is what brings somebody back to current.
- NewThe Activity report gains a landings column beside the hours, a club total, a per-aircraft breakdown, and a column in both CSV downloads, for clubs that record landings.
- ImprovedAn admin or treasurer can correct a landing count afterwards through Correct flight record, the same way a mistyped Hobbs or tach reading is fixed.
- ImprovedNothing changes for any club until somebody turns it on. Landings are off, and both minimums are empty, everywhere.
August 24, 2026
See your own account, and take a statement with you
Members can now see every charge and payment on their own account, for any period, and download or email themselves a statement of account.
- NewSettings, then My Account, now shows your account activity underneath your balance: every charge and payment, newest first, with what it was for and when it posted. Charges show in red, payments and credits in green, so the list adds up to the balance above it.
- NewChoose a period with one click (this month, last month, this quarter, this year, or everything), or set the two dates yourself.
- NewDownload statement gives you a PDF on your club's letterhead with a running balance, the same document your treasurer can produce for you. Email it to me sends that PDF to the address on your profile.
- ImprovedTreasurers and admins are unaffected: statements for other members and for billing accounts work exactly as before, including sending one to an address you type in.
August 24, 2026
Dates show the day they actually are
A date falling on the last day of a month could display as the day before, so a certificate expiring July 31 read as July 30.
- FixedCurrency and medical expiry dates now show exactly the date on file. Nothing was ever stored wrong, and no booking was ever allowed or refused on the wrong day. The date was only being displayed one day early.
- FixedThe same correction applies everywhere a date appears, including maintenance and aircraft due dates and the flight review date in the Weather Brief.
- FixedThe green, amber and red currency dots used to turn over late in the evening before an expiry rather than on the day itself, which could leave them disagreeing with the standing lights beside them. They now change on the right day.
August 21, 2026
Reserve an airplane that is grounded today
A grounding is often short, and a flat tire on Tuesday should not cost the club every reservation for the rest of the week. Any member can now reserve a grounded aircraft. Nothing about flying one has changed: it still cannot be dispatched until it is back in service, and the Schedule still marks it in red.
- ImprovedGrounded aircraft accept reservations again. The row is clickable in Day, Week and Month views, and the tail can be picked in the booking window like any other. It used to be bookable only by admins and the maintenance team, and only for shop time.
- ImprovedThe booking window tells you what you are taking on, in amber rather than as a refusal: "N12345 is grounded. You can still reserve it, but it cannot be dispatched until it is back in service."
- ImprovedThe Day view that runs time down the page now spells out Grounded under the tail number, instead of relying on the red dot alone. The Week view and the other Day layout already did.
August 21, 2026
Membership types are no longer just for officers
If your club has Full, Social or Honorary members, every member can now see which type they hold and which type everyone else holds. Clubs that do not use membership types see no change anywhere.
- NewThe Members roster shows a Type column to everyone, not only to admins, treasurers and safety officers. Click the heading to sort by it, which is the quickest way to see who your Social members are.
- NewYour own membership type is on your Settings page under My profile, just above your certificates and ratings. Your club decides it, so it is shown to you rather than edited by you.
- ImprovedOpening a member record shows their membership type above their certificates and ratings, so officers no longer have to scroll to the billing section to find it.
- FixedIn the Edit member window, the month and year boxes for currency dates were too narrow for an instrument-rated pilot and cut off after two characters, so March 2028 read as "Ma 20".
August 21, 2026
Booking on a phone reads properly again
On an iPhone, the date box in the booking form had grown wide enough to sit on top of the start and end times, so you could see "AM" but not the hour. Every date box in Cleared360 has been rebuilt to stay inside its space.
- FixedIn the booking form on a phone, the date covered the time beside it and you could not read the time you had picked. The date and the time now each get their own line on a small screen, and go back to sharing a line on a tablet or a computer. The same fix covers instructor reservations and the ledger export dialog.
- FixedDate boxes across the app could run past the edge of the panel they sat in on an iPhone. They now size themselves correctly everywhere, including the dues, meeting and reports date fields.
- FixedThe red currency warning in the booking form started with a lower-case letter, reading "your medical expires ..." instead of "Your medical expires ...".
August 21, 2026
Meter readings that cannot go missing
An aircraft can no longer be set to bill on a meter it has no reading for, a reading far from the last one asks you to confirm before it saves, and a wrong out reading on a dispatched flight can now be corrected instead of leaving the flight stuck.
- FixedAn aircraft set to bill on Tach could be saved with no tach reading at all. The dispatch form then opened with an empty box and nothing to prefill, while still telling you it had prefilled from the aircraft. Every meter an aircraft uses now needs a reading, and the dispatch form says plainly when there is nothing to prefill.
- FixedA missing reading showed as "0.0 hrs" on the fleet card and as a dash on the aircraft record, so a meter nobody had ever entered looked like a real zero. It now reads as absent in both places.
- FixedIf a flight went out with a reading above the aircraft's own total, check-in refused it with a message about your tach in, sending you to re-read a panel that was correct. It now names the out reading instead, and says who can fix it.
- NewEnter a reading more than 100 hours from the last one and Cleared360 shows you both numbers and asks you to confirm. It is a question, not a limit: a replaced tach that restarts near zero is a real thing, and you can confirm and carry on. It is there to catch a mistyped leading digit.
- NewAn admin or treasurer can now correct the out readings on a flight that is still dispatched. Previously a wrong out reading could not be fixed at all, and the flight could not be checked in. Nothing has been charged at that point, so no ledger entry moves.
August 21, 2026
Statements of account
Send any member or account a proper statement: your club letterhead, their address, every charge and payment with a running balance, and your payment instructions. Download it or email it.
- NewOpen any row on the receivables roster, or any account, and choose PDF to download a statement or Send to email it straight to them. Both produce the same document, so what you check is what they receive.
- NewA statement covers whatever date range you have selected. It carries an opening balance, every line with a running balance, and a closing balance, with column headings repeated and pages numbered when it runs onto a second sheet.
- NewSet your letterhead and your payment instructions once under Settings, then Billing, and they appear on every statement you send. Worth doing: hangar tenants and vendors have no login, so the footer is the only place a statement tells them how to pay.
- ImprovedReplies to a statement email go to the officer who sent it, so a question about a bill reaches the person who issued it.
August 20, 2026
Bill people who are not members
A new Accounts area for hangar tenants, vendors, partner organizations and internal funds. They carry a balance and a full charge history, and they never need a login.
- NewAccounts sits beside Members in the sidebar, for club admins and treasurers. Add a hangar tenant, a maintenance shop, an airport authority or an internal fund, each with its own contact details and address.
- NewPost charges, payments and credits against an account exactly as you would for a member, and categorize each one against your club ledger accounts so it lands in the right place on your reports and your QuickBooks export.
- NewEvery account carries a type, and the list searches and filters on it, so you can pull up just your hangar tenants. That is the companion to filtering members by membership type on the roster, which arrived on 14 August.
- ImprovedThe accounts receivable roster on Reports now covers both. A tenant who owes rent sits alongside a member who owes dues, tagged Account, so one list answers who owes the club money.
- ImprovedAccounts are deactivated rather than deleted, and one that has ever been charged cannot be removed at all, so no charge is ever left without an owner.
- FixedThe Charge, Payment and Credit picker on the ledger entry form was being squeezed too narrow to read. It now keeps its own width.
August 19, 2026
Currency dates without the math
Enter when you did the flight review, instrument work, night landings or training, and the expiration date is calculated for you per the FAR.
- NewFlight review, IFR and CFI dates take just the month and year of the activity, since those rules run on calendar months. Night and TSA take the date of the activity. Either way the calculated expiration is shown before anything saves, and "Exact date" is always there if you would rather enter the expiration yourself.
- NewMedical and BasicMed dates take the month and year printed on the certificate, and the last day of that month is filled in for you.
- ImprovedEvery date box in the app is now a consistent, realistic size with a calendar button on the right, and the calendar closes itself once you pick a day.
August 19, 2026
Admins can reset a member's password
When a member is locked out and cannot get to the email a password reset would go to, a club admin can now hand them a temporary password directly.
- NewEdit member has a new Sign-in section with Issue temporary password. The password appears once, you give it to the member, and they have to choose their own the next time they sign in.
- NewClub admins only, and never for your own account. Every temporary password is recorded in the audit log with the admin who issued it and when.
- ImprovedMembers who can reach their email should still use Forgot password on the sign-in screen, which needs nothing from an admin at all.

Day view opens on the hours you fly
The Schedule's Day view used to show all 24 hours, which meant a lot of empty overnight space between you and the part of the day that matters.
- ImprovedDay view now opens showing 7 AM to 10 PM in both layouts. Anything booked outside those hours widens the view automatically, so an early departure or a night flight is never hidden.
- ImprovedShow earlier hours and Show later hours controls at the edges of the grid reveal the overnight hours whenever you want them, and every hour stays bookable.

The CFI date field knows about REED
Newer flight instructor certificates no longer carry an expiration date. They show a Recent Experience End Date (REED) instead, on the same 24 calendar month cycle. The app now says so.
- ImprovedThe date field on instructor records now reads CFI expiration / REED date instead of CFI certificate expires. Enter whichever date your certificate shows; the tracking and the amber warning work the same either way.
- ImprovedThe Help article on pilot profiles explains the REED change, and the activity report CSV column header matches the new name.
August 18, 2026
Certificate names are spelled out
The certificate options on a pilot's profile mixed plain words with acronyms. They now read the same way as each other, and the certificates already on your members' records were updated to match.
- ImprovedUnder Certificates and ratings, the options now read Student, Sport, Recreational, Private, Commercial and ATP. ATP stays as it is, because that is what pilots call it.
- ImprovedExisting member records were updated at the same time, so nothing you have already entered needs re-doing and the Certs and ratings column on your roster reads the same way.

See who changed what, and what it was before
Cleared360 now keeps a record of every change made in your club: who made it, when, and the value before and after. Admins get a searchable, exportable log, and a member's currency history shows on their own record.
- NewAn Audit log in the sidebar for admins. Filter by date, by area of the app, by who made the change or by the member it was about, and search across every value, so you can find the change that touched a tail number or an old date.
- NewExport any view to CSV, with one line per field changed. That is the shape a board pack or an insurer asks for.
- NewCurrency and medical changes now show on the member's own record: who recorded each date and what it was before. Admins, safety officers and instructors see it, which is the same group that may record those dates.
- NewTreasurers see the money side of the log: ledger entries, payments, dues and membership types. They do not see currency and medical, matching the confidentiality rule already in place on member records.
- ImprovedNobody can edit or delete the log, including your admins and Cleared360 support. Changes are kept for 24 months.
- FixedDropdowns on the Members page now match the boxes beside them, instead of each browser drawing its own slightly different control.
August 17, 2026
View as now shows who you are picking
The admin View as list was showing each member's roles instead of their name, which made two members with the same initials impossible to tell apart. Names now show in full, the list is in last name order, and there is a search box.
- FixedEvery member in the View as list shows their full name, with their roles on a second line underneath. Before, a member with two or three roles had their name squeezed out entirely, leaving only initials and a role list.
- NewA search box at the top of the View as list. Type any part of a name to narrow it, which matters in a club with more than a handful of members.
- ImprovedEvery member picker in the app is now in last name order, matching the Members roster: booking on behalf of another member, instructor reservations, meeting attendance and motions, action items, maintenance notifications and club settings.
- ImprovedRoles read the way the club words them everywhere in View as, so the safety officer role reads Safety Officer rather than an abbreviation.

Ask your club to update a currency date
Fly the same types outside your club? You can now send the new date and your logbook proof from Settings, and an admin, safety officer or instructor records it. No more catching somebody at the hangar.
- NewRequest update now sits beside every currency and medical date in Settings. Send the new expiry date, say where the flying was done, and attach a photo or scan of the logbook page.
- NewAdmins, safety officers and instructors see waiting requests in a card above the roster on Members, with a count beside the Members link. Accept records the date; decline asks for a reason the member reads.
- NewYour own record shows what happened: a Requested marker while it waits, which you can withdraw, and the outcome with any reason for a month afterwards.
- ImprovedMembers still cannot edit their own currency dates, and that has not changed. Those dates decide whether a booking is allowed, so an officer records every one of them and the record shows who did.
- FixedTreasurers no longer see medical date boxes they could type into but never save. Currency and medical are for admins, safety officers and instructors.

Your club decides what the traffic lights mean
The coloured dots on the Members roster used to be three fixed items, the same for every club. Now you choose what they cover, including dues, insurance, account balance, club recency and suspended memberships, and anything you do not track no longer takes up space. Nothing changed for any club until you go and change it.
- ImprovedChoose which items show a light, under Settings, Booking, Member standing. An item your club does not track no longer shows a grey dot on every row.
- NewFive new lights beside pilot currency: account balance, dues, member insurance, club recency, and whether a membership is suspended.
- NewMark an item required and a member with nothing on file reads red instead of grey, so gaps get chased rather than overlooked.
- NewChoose per item whether it stops a member booking or dispatching. Before you turn either on, Cleared360 shows you exactly which members it would affect, by name.
- NewSuspend and reinstate a membership from the member record. A suspended member keeps their account and their access, and stops being able to book.
- ImprovedThe roster now has separate Currency and Standing columns, each shown to the officers responsible for it. Treasurers see dues and balances; safety officers and instructors see flight reviews and medicals.
August 17, 2026
Your currency is yours, and your club records it
Two changes to how currency and medical dates work, both asked for by a club. Your dates are now visible only to you and to the people responsible for oversight, and they are entered by your club rather than by you. Both are enforced in the database, not just hidden on the page.
- ImprovedOnly you can see your own currency and medical dates. Other members no longer see them on the roster, and nobody outside your club ever could.
- ImprovedAdmins, safety officers and instructors can see and record currency for the members of their club. Instructors could not before, which was backwards given they are the ones signing a flight review.
- ImprovedCurrency and medical dates are no longer self-entered. You can still see your own on your Settings page, and your club updates them. Every change now records who entered it and when.
- ImprovedTreasurers keep the activity report they use for billing, showing hours and last flight, without the currency columns.
August 17, 2026
Fly the route you actually planned
Route waypoints used to be airports only, and the box stopped at four characters, so a five-letter GPS fix would not fit. You can now enter airports, NAVAIDs and fixes, and the box looks them up as you type. That matters for more than typing: the corridor that decides which SIGMETs and AIRMETs apply to your flight now follows the track you planned rather than the straight line between airports.
- NewWaypoints accept airports, NAVAIDs such as AGC, and five-letter GPS fixes such as WNGFT. Start typing and pick from the list, which shows what each one is along with its name.
- NewWhere a name is both an airport and a NAVAID, you choose which you meant instead of the briefing guessing.
- ImprovedA NAVAID or fix has no weather of its own, so its card shows the nearest reporting station with the distance. If nothing is reporting in range, the briefing says so and names that point as unassessed rather than passing it quietly.
- FixedRoute points are now plotted where they actually are. A field with no weather station of its own was being drawn, and briefed, at whichever station was standing in for it, which could sit up to 100 miles off your track and pull the hazard corridor with it.

A heads up before you cancel
Cancelling a reservation has always been instant, while booking one has to pass your club rules on account balance and currency. Those two are not the same test, so a member whose balance had slipped, or whose medical or flight review had lapsed since booking, could cancel a flight and then find they could not book it back. The cancel panel now checks first and tells you.
- FixedIf your club would refuse this booking today, clicking Cancel booking shows the reason before you confirm, in the same words you would have seen if you had tried to book it.
- ImprovedOfficers cancelling on a member's behalf see the member's situation, not their own, so you find out the member cannot rebook before you free the aircraft.
- ImprovedNothing is blocked. Cancelling still works exactly as before; this only makes sure the consequence is not a surprise.
August 17, 2026
Your instructor hears when you cancel
Cancelling your own reservation used to email nobody, on the reasoning that you already know you cancelled it. That is right for a solo flight and wrong for a lesson: your instructor had the same two hours blocked out, and the flight simply vanished from their schedule with no word. If you rebooked, the new request arrived looking like an unrelated first-time ask. Cancelling a lesson now tells your instructor.
- FixedCancel a booking with an instructor on it and they are emailed, with the aircraft, the time it was booked for, and your reason. An instructor who had already declined the request is left alone.
- FixedCancelling your own solo flight still emails nobody, and you are never emailed about a cancellation you made yourself.
- ImprovedAn instructor who had not yet accepted the request now reads that the member cancelled a flight they had asked you to instruct, rather than one you were instructing.
- ImprovedAdmins: the setting is now called Tell people when a booked flight is cancelled, under Settings then Booking then Booking emails. It covers both directions, and one switch still turns the lot off.
August 16, 2026
Stay out a little longer
The weather is good, nobody has the airplane after you, and you would like another hour. Until now a reservation was fixed the moment you dispatched it, so the only options were to land on time or run over and hope. Dispatched flights can now be extended from the booking itself, and the club is protected while you do it: the app checks the next reservation on that tail and your instructor before it agrees.
- NewOpen a flight you have already dispatched and click Extend reservation. Add 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 2 hours, check the new end time, and confirm. You can do it more than once.
- NewIf the extra time would run into the next booking on that aircraft, the extension is refused and the message names the time you can extend up to, so you know what you have to work with without hunting through the schedule.
- NewOn a dual flight, extending moves your instructor with the airplane, and keeps any briefing or debrief time they had booked either side of it. If it would collide with their next commitment, the extension is refused and says whose time is in the way.
- FixedThe end time of a flight in progress is now protected club-side, so a reservation cannot be stretched over somebody else's booking.
August 16, 2026
Your briefing now tells you what it does not know
A forecast is rarely complete. It often gives a ceiling but no visibility, or wind at your departure but nothing for a point along the way, and small fields report no weather at all. Where that happened, the briefing used to quietly fall back to current conditions and then speak about them as though they were the forecast for your flight. It no longer does, in either direction: it will not condemn your flight on a reading nobody forecast, and it will not tell you that you are within your personal minimums when it had nothing to measure them against.
- Fixed"Conditions are within your personal minimums" is now only said about the parts of your route the forecast actually covered. Where it did not, the check says so by name, for example "the forecast does not cover ceiling and visibility at KCLE, so that part of your route was not checked".
- FixedA check that could not be measured is now marked with its own symbol instead of a green tick. It is different from a check you have not set up, and it does not count as passed.
- FixedAn airport that reports no weather at all is named rather than left out. Previously a check could read as covering your whole route while never having seen your departure field.
- ImprovedChecks now cite where their information came from, for example "per the terminal forecast (TAF) for your window", so you can see which product cleared each limit.
- ImprovedThe risk score explains its ceiling and visibility rating. When the flight category was carried forward from current conditions because none was forecast, the rating says so, instead of showing a number that disagreed with the words beside it.
- FixedThe briefing no longer says "these are instrument conditions, this is a no-go" when there was no forecast flight category for your window. It tells you the forecast does not reach that far and what the airport reads right now.

Book an instructor, with or without an airplane
An instructor could be attached to a flight, but could not be booked for anything on their own. So there was no way to schedule ground school without also tying up an aircraft, no way to hold an hour of briefing before a lesson, and no way to say "I am away Thursday through Sunday". All three now work, and the schedule stops anyone being booked in two places at once.
- NewGround instruction can be booked with no aircraft. Open the Schedule in Day view, switch to the layout with time across the top, and click an instructor's row. Ground school holds the instructor's time only: no airplane is held, nothing is dispatched, and nothing is charged.
- NewInstructors can block off specific dates. The weekly teaching hours repeat every week and cannot express a trip, so time off is its own list under Settings, Instructor. One entry covers a whole range however many days it spans, and it takes the instructor out of the booking form for those dates.
- NewBriefing and debrief time on a lesson, as one reservation. Pick an instructor when booking a flight and you can hold them for up to two hours either side of it. The aircraft is held only for the flight itself, so nobody can book the instructor over your briefing and anybody can still book the airplane during it.
- FixedAn instructor can no longer be double-booked. There was no check at all on the server: an instructor who was out flying was still offered as available, and two requests for the same hour could both be approved. The schedule now refuses the second one and says who is committed and when.
- FixedA member of two clubs could be refused a booking at one club because of a reservation at the other, and told they already had an aircraft they could not see. The rule now looks only at the club you are booking in.
- FixedAn instructor who teaches at two clubs can now publish the same weekly hours at both. The second club's save used to fail and report that the slot already existed.
August 16, 2026
An instructor missing from the booking form
Giving someone the instructor role was never enough on its own: until they set their weekly teaching hours, nobody could pick them as an instructor and they did not appear on the Schedule. Nothing in the app said so. Now it does, and a club admin can set those hours for them.
- FixedThe instructor list on the booking form now explains why it is empty. Previously it said only "No instructors available for this time slot", which pointed at the calendar when the real cause was usually that nobody had set any hours.
- NewClub admins can now set an instructor's weekly teaching hours from the member record, under Teaching hours. Until now only the instructor could do it, from their own Settings, so an admin had no way to unblock someone.
- ImprovedThe availability screen warns when no hours are set, saying plainly that the instructor will not appear in the booking form or on the Schedule until at least one block exists. A matching note appears on the member record when the instructor role is granted.
- FixedThe "Require my approval for bookings" switch always displayed as off when the page loaded, whatever the instructor had actually chosen. It now shows the real setting. If you set it before and it looked like it had not saved, it probably had.
August 16, 2026
Instructors can track their CFI and TSA dates
Members who hold a flight instructor certificate now have somewhere to record when it expires and when their TSA security awareness training is due, alongside the flight review and medical dates already on their profile.
- NewTick CFI, CFII or MEI under your ratings and two more currency dates appear in Settings: when your instructor certificate expires and when your TSA training expires. Both show a status that turns amber before they lapse, the same as your flight review.
- NewClub admins see both dates on a member's record, and they appear as two extra columns in the activity report CSV, so a chief instructor can check the whole instructor roster in one go.
- ImprovedTicking CFII or MEI now ticks CFI for you, since neither can be held without it.
- ImprovedUnticking an instructor rating hides these two dates but does not erase them. Tick the rating again and your dates are still there.
August 16, 2026
See your instructors on the Schedule
Day view now comes in two layouts, and you pick the one you prefer. The new one puts aircraft down the left and the hours across the top, matching Week view, and it adds a band showing each instructor's day alongside the fleet.
- NewTwo buttons beside Day, Week and Month switch the Day view between the original layout (aircraft across the top, time down the page) and a new one (aircraft down the side, time across the top). Your choice is remembered on that browser and changes nothing for anyone else in your club.
- NewWith aircraft down the side, an Instructors band appears below the fleet. An instructor gets a row on a day when they have a lesson booked or have declared hours for that weekday, so the list stays short. Their declared hours are shaded green, and each lesson shows on their row as well as on the aircraft, because one reservation takes up both.
- ImprovedNothing changes unless you ask for it. Every club stays on the original Day view until someone switches, and Week and Month are untouched.
- ImprovedInstructor rows are for looking, not booking yet. Booking an instructor without an aircraft, for ground instruction and briefings, is the next piece of this work.
August 16, 2026
Spot a reservation nobody dispatched
A reservation that started but was never dispatched now says so on the Schedule, so whoever is minding the desk can see at a glance which aircraft are still sitting on the ramp against a booking that should already be out.
- NewA dashed red outline and a red circle appear on any reservation whose start time passed more than 15 minutes ago and which has not been dispatched. Both clear the moment the flight is dispatched, and a matching entry appears in the legend under the Schedule while any are showing.
- ImprovedThe flag stays out of the way where it would be noise. Shop time never shows it, because an aircraft can sit against a maintenance reservation for a week quite legitimately. Backup reservations never show it, because they are not meant to be dispatched. Neither does a booking still waiting on an instructor to accept.
- ImprovedA reservation whose end time has already passed is not marked overdue either. That one was not started late, it was never flown, and it is still open for you to record: pilots have 7 days after the end time to dispatch and check in a flight they forgot, and club admins have no time limit.
August 16, 2026
Tell your aircraft apart on the Schedule
Clubs with several aircraft of the same type were seeing the same code under every tail number, with nothing on screen to tell them apart. The Schedule and the booking form now show the model your members actually say. The Schedule also remembers the view you last used, and the legend beneath it has been corrected.
- ImprovedThe Schedule now shows each aircraft's model, such as "172S Skyhawk" or "Dakota", instead of its ICAO type code. A club with four Skyhawks used to see "C172" under all four tail numbers. Fill in the Model field on the aircraft record and it appears everywhere members choose or view an aircraft.
- ImprovedThe aircraft dropdown in the booking form, the booking details panel, and the instructor request list all show the model too, so you are picking between named aircraft rather than four identical codes.
- ImprovedThe Schedule remembers whichever view you used last and opens there next time. If you work in Day view at the clubhouse, click Day once and it stays that way.
- FixedThe legend under the Schedule listed an "In maintenance" aircraft state that the app no longer has, which made it unclear how it differed from Grounded. The legend is now split in two: round dots describe the airplane (Available, Grounded) and colored blocks describe reservations (Upcoming, Flying now, Flown and checked in), with backup reservations and shop time shown only if your club uses them.
August 15, 2026
Track maintenance against aircraft total time
An aircraft record can now carry its airframe total time (ACTT), and a maintenance reminder can count against it instead of Hobbs or Tach. If your club works to the total in the logbook, which is what inspections and airworthiness directives are usually written against, you can now enter due figures exactly as your mechanic wrote them.
- NewAircraft total time (ACTT) is a new optional field on the aircraft record, next to the Hobbs and Tach readings. Enter the airframe total from the logbook once and it advances on its own after every flight, so nobody has to keep it up by hand.
- NewWhen an aircraft tracks both meters, ACTT follows lets you choose whether it advances with Hobbs or with Tach. Hobbs is the default, because an inspection due against time in service then comes due slightly early rather than slightly late.
- NewMeter-based maintenance reminders can now count against ACTT. The option appears in the Meter list once that aircraft has an ACTT on file. Engine items like oil changes and TBO are still best tracked on Tach, and each reminder picks its own.
- ImprovedExisting reminders are left exactly as they are. To move one to ACTT, open it, change the Meter, and re-enter the last-done reading as an ACTT figure so the next due lands where your records say it should.
- FixedDropdowns on the Maintenance page now match the height of the fields beside them, and meter boxes on the aircraft form keep their decimal place when you type a reading rather than only when it is loaded.
August 15, 2026
One click clears a search box
Every search and filter box in Cleared360 now has a small X inside it that empties the box in one click, so getting back to the full list no longer means selecting the text and deleting it.
- NewThe X appears at the right end of a search box as soon as there is something in it, and disappears when the box is empty. Clicking it clears the box and brings back the full, unfiltered list.
- NewIt is on the member search on your roster, the "Find a member" filter on meeting attendance, the AD and SB search on Maintenance, and the Help Center search.
August 15, 2026
Hobbs and Tach arrows start from the last reading
The up and down arrows on a Hobbs or Tach box used to jump to zero instead of nudging the reading in front of you. They now step from the last reading, and they hold the decimal place your aircraft is set to.
- ImprovedThe arrows step from the reading you can already see. On check-in the box starts empty on purpose, with the dispatch reading behind it in grey, so you can type the new number without clearing anything first. Pressing up now starts from that dispatch reading instead of from zero. Pressing down gives you the dispatch reading exactly, which is a one-press way to record a flight where the meter never moved.
- FixedStepping past a whole number no longer drops the last digit. Nudging 1538.9 up showed 1539 rather than 1539.0, in the one field you are asked to check against the panel. It now keeps every decimal place the aircraft is set to.
- ImprovedSame behavior on dispatch and on an admin correction of a closed flight. The small up and down arrows beside each box now do exactly what the keyboard arrows do, so the two can no longer disagree.
August 15, 2026
Meters read the way your panel does
Most tachs read in tenths. Some read in hundredths, and Cleared360 quietly rounded those off. Each aircraft now has its own decimal places, and readings keep every digit you enter.
- NewEach aircraft has a Decimal places setting, on its record next to Time meter. Tenths (0.0) is the default and covers most panels. Set an aircraft to Hundredths (0.00) and every Hobbs and Tach field for it, on dispatch, check-in, corrections and maintenance, accepts and shows two places.
- FixedReadings no longer lose their last digit. A Tach entered as 9927.0 came back as 9927 when you reopened the reservation, which made it look like the reading had not saved. It always had. It now reads back exactly as entered, everywhere.
- FixedA hundredths reading is no longer rounded away without telling you. Before this, entering 9927.25 stored 9927.3 and nothing on screen said so. Flight time and the charge on your statement now carry the same precision the aircraft is set to.
August 15, 2026
Grounded, and nothing else
An aircraft used to have two ways of being out of service, Maintenance and Grounded, and no two people agreed on what the difference was. Now there is one. Grounded means the aircraft must not fly. Everything else is a booking.
- ImprovedMaintenance is no longer an aircraft status. The amber Maintenance flag, the Set Maintenance button on the aircraft record, and the amber Maintenance label on the Schedule are all gone. An aircraft is available or it is grounded.
- ImprovedTo say an aircraft is with the shop, book it. A Maintenance reservation holds the tail for the dates it is away, shows the whole club why it is unavailable, and is never billed to anyone. It can still be dispatched and checked in, so a ferry flight or a post-maintenance test flight records its hours the way it should.
- ImprovedTo say an aircraft must not fly, ground it. Grounding still happens by itself when a Grounded squawk is filed, when a reminder set to Ground aircraft comes due, or when an applicable airworthiness directive is open, and the aircraft returns to service by itself once every one of those is cleared.
- FixedResolving a grounded squawk no longer asks you to choose a status afterwards. Cleared360 works out whether anything else is still holding the aircraft and tells you where it landed, including the case it used to miss: no squawks left, but a grounding reminder or an open AD still keeping the plane down.
- FixedAn overdue Alert only reminder can no longer flag an aircraft out of service by a side door. Alert only means alerts, every time.
August 15, 2026
Flight types are yours to name
The list members pick from when they book is now your club's to edit. Rename the types, put them in the order you want, hide the ones you do not use, and add your own.
- NewSettings > Booking has a new Flight types card. Admins can rename Local, Cross-country and Maintenance to whatever your club actually calls them, reorder the list, and hide any type you do not use.
- NewAdd your own types: Instrument training, Discovery flight, Club event, whatever fits. Tick "Ask for a destination" and that type behaves like a cross-country, so the booking asks for a destination and waypoints and the pilot's briefing emails cover the whole route instead of just the home field.
- ImprovedTypes are hidden rather than deleted, so a type you retire keeps its name on every past booking. A type nobody has ever booked can be deleted outright. You always keep at least one bookable type besides Maintenance.
- ImprovedMaintenance stays fixed on purpose: it is bookable only by admins and the maintenance team, and it never bills the member. You can still rename it, move it, or hide it if your club does not schedule shop time.
- FixedLinks that jump you straight to a Settings card, like "Take me there" in the club setup checklist, sometimes stopped a card or two short of the one you asked for. They now wait for the page to finish loading before settling.
August 15, 2026
Put maintenance on the schedule
Shop time is now a reservation like any other, so the whole club can see when an aircraft is with maintenance and books around it. Flight type is also yours to configure, starting with Local, Cross-country and Maintenance.
- NewAdmins and the maintenance team can book an aircraft for Maintenance. It holds its place on the schedule exactly like a flight, so nobody reserves the plane out from under the shop, and it shows in amber marked Maintenance rather than under whoever booked it.
- NewYou can book shop time on an aircraft that is already grounded, which is usually the one you need it for. Grounded aircraft used to be unclickable on the schedule for everyone.
- NewA maintenance reservation can still be dispatched and checked in, so a ferry flight to the shop, a post-maintenance test flight or a flight to reproduce a squawk is recorded properly and the Hobbs and Tach roll forward. Nobody is charged for it, and it does not count toward a member’s hours.
- ImprovedFlight type is now your club’s list rather than a fixed pair. Everyone starts with Local, Cross-country and Maintenance, and the type you mark as carrying a route is the one that asks for a destination and gets full-route weather briefings.
- FixedRecent flights on an aircraft’s record never listed anything, whatever the aircraft had flown. It works now.
August 14, 2026
Categorize your ledger with your own accounts
Every charge used to land in a single "Flight Income" bucket, whether it was a flight, monthly dues, hangar rent or a donation. Clubs now define their own list of accounts, tag entries against it, and see the books broken down that way.
- NewSettings, Billing now has a Ledger accounts card. Your club starts with a sensible set (Flight Income, Dues, Initiation Fees, Assessments, Hangar Rent, Sales, Donations, Member Payment, Prepayment, Fuel Reimbursement, Discount and more) and you can rename, reorder, add and retire them so the list matches how your club actually books money.
- NewWhen you post a charge, payment or credit on a member, pick the account it belongs to. The list only offers accounts that fit the kind of entry you are posting, and preselects whichever you set as the default.
- NewFlight charges, dues, join fees, assessments, fuel reimbursements, online payments and correction reversals are categorized for you automatically, and your existing history has been categorized the same way wherever the record made it certain.
- NewReports, Financial has an Income by account section showing what you billed, collected and credited in the period broken down by account, so you can answer how much was rent versus dues versus donations. It downloads as a CSV like the other reports.
- ImprovedThe QuickBooks journal export now posts each entry to its own account instead of putting every charge into Flight Income. Give any account a QuickBooks name to match your chart of accounts exactly, and you no longer need to hand-edit the account column in a spreadsheet after every export. The plain CSV gained an Account column.
- ImprovedEntries posted before you set your accounts up, or left uncategorized on purpose, show as Unassigned and export exactly as they always did. An account is never required, so nothing about categorizing can hold up a charge or a dispatch.
August 14, 2026
See your roster by membership type
Clubs that run more than one class of membership, such as full, social and honorary, can now see and filter the roster by it instead of keeping track separately.
- NewThe roster has a Type column showing each member's membership type, so you can tell at a glance who is a full member and who is social or honorary without opening records one at a time.
- NewA Type filter sits next to the search box. Pull up just one type, or choose "No type assigned" to find everybody who still needs one. It works alongside the role filter, so you can ask for social members who are also instructors. Searching matches type names too.
- NewClick the Type heading to group the roster by type, the same way every other column sorts. Members with no type assigned stay at the bottom.
- FixedRole labels on the roster now always appear in the same order for everybody. They used to follow the order roles were given, so two members with identical roles could list them differently.
August 14, 2026
Hold a backup aircraft
Members asked for a proper way to hold a second aircraft in case their first choice goes into maintenance, instead of booking two and remembering to cancel one. Backups now do that themselves, and the club decides whether to allow them.
- NewBook a second aircraft over a time you already have reserved and it is held as a backup for the first. It holds that aircraft like any other reservation, so nobody can take it while you are waiting to see whether your first choice is airworthy.
- NewA backup releases itself. Whichever of the two aircraft you dispatch, the other reservation is cancelled the moment you confirm, so the one you are not flying goes back to the club without anybody remembering to do it. The dispatch screen tells you which reservation is about to be released before you confirm.
- NewBackups show on the schedule in a lighter blue with a dashed outline, so a glance tells you which reservations are somebody keeping their options open.
- NewAdmins choose whether their club allows backups at all, under Booking rules in Settings. It starts off.
- ImprovedA pilot can now hold one aircraft at a time. Reserving a second aircraft over a time you already hold is refused, unless your club allows backups, in which case the second one becomes the backup. Either way you hold at most one aircraft plus one backup, and reservations made before this change are left alone.
- ImprovedThe same rule applies when an instructor or admin books on a member’s behalf, and they get the same backup option, so there is no version of the rule that depends on who filled in the form.

Overlapping reservations no longer slip through
A member noticed he could reserve a second aircraft over a flight he had already started, with nothing said either way. Two fixes: the booking dialog now tells you when you already hold another aircraft at that time, and a reservation keeps its slot on the schedule once the flight is out.
- FixedA dispatched reservation now holds its place. Once a flight was dispatched, its reservation stopped blocking the time slot, so a second overlapping reservation could be created on the same aircraft. Two reservations can no longer overlap on one aircraft, whether the earlier one is confirmed or already out flying.
- NewThe booking dialog warns you when you already have a different aircraft reserved for that time, naming the tail number and the hours. Superseded the same day by backup reservations, below: holding a second aircraft is now either a backup or not allowed, rather than a warning you can book past.
- ImprovedThe warning also appears when an admin or instructor books on behalf of a member, so it is the member’s own schedule being checked rather than the person filling in the form.

A grounded aircraft can no longer be dispatched
A member found he could start a flight on an aircraft that was showing as grounded, because he already had the reservation before it went down. Cleared360 checked the aircraft when the reservation was made, but never checked it again at dispatch. It does now, for everyone.
- FixedA reservation made before an aircraft was grounded can no longer be dispatched. However the aircraft went out of service, a grounding squawk, an overdue grounding reminder, an airworthiness directive, or an admin setting the status by hand, the flight is blocked until the aircraft is returned to service on the Aircraft page.
- FixedThis applies to club admins too. Grounded means grounded, and returning an aircraft to service is a deliberate step someone takes on the Aircraft page rather than something that can be waved through from the dispatch screen.
- ImprovedThe booking now explains itself instead of failing at the last moment. Opening a reservation on a grounded aircraft shows the tail number, the reason, and where to go next, with the grounding squawk listed right above it when there is one.
- ImprovedAn aircraft flagged Maintenance can still be dispatched. Maintenance means something is coming due, not that the aircraft is out of service, and clubs schedule around it.

Your briefing now describes the weather at your departure time, everywhere
A member got a briefing that led with GO at 90 out of 100 and then, three paragraphs down, told him it was a no-go. Both sentences were describing the same flight at different times: the score was reading the forecast for his departure, and one line was still reading the weather outside at that moment. The briefing now works from the forecast for the window you are flying, start to finish, and says so plainly when conditions have not caught up yet.
- FixedA briefing can no longer say GO at the top and no-go in the text. The instrument-conditions advice is now based on the forecast for your departure, the same forecast the score uses, instead of on the weather being reported at the moment the email went out.
- ImprovedWhen it is instrument conditions right now but the forecast has it clearing before you go, the briefing says exactly that, and tells you what it means if the improvement has not arrived by the time you reach the airport. It used to go quiet about a low overcast in that situation.
- FixedThe Weather Brief page now scores your flight window rather than the current hour, which is what the briefing emails have always done. The two could disagree about the same flight whenever the weather was changing, and the page was the one to be wrong. They now share the same engine.
- FixedA forecast that does not cover something can no longer fail your flight. If the forecast has nothing to say about visibility for your window, the briefing used to fall back to the current report and treat it as a prediction, which could turn an old fog reading into a NO-GO hours later. Those now show as an amber caution that names what is missing and what it is doing right now, so you know to check it yourself.
- ImprovedRunway advice stays quiet on a wind too light to favor any runway, and the arrival runway is now labeled as the forecast wind rather than the current one.

Add member tells you when an email address is already taken
An admin added one member on a shared club address, then tried to add a second person on the same address. It did not work, which is right, but it also quietly renamed the first member and left the name in the corner of the screen disagreeing with every record in the club. Add member now stops and tells you whose account that address is, before anything happens.
- FixedEntering an email address that already has a Cleared360 account no longer changes anything about that account. It used to be able to overwrite the name on it and ask that person to set a new password, without saying so.
- ImprovedAdd member now stops on an address that is already taken and names the person who holds it. Nothing is created until you choose: go back and use a different address, or add that existing account to your club. The second is the right answer when somebody is joining a second club or coming back after a lapsed membership.
- ImprovedEvery member needs their own email address, spouses and partners who share an inbox included, because that address is how they sign in. The Add member form says so now, and the Help Center explains why.
- FixedThe name in the lower left of the screen now comes from your member record, the same place the roster, your bookings and your account statement get it. It could previously show something different, and that name was also the one printed on documents you signed.

A thunderstorm on your route is now a NO-GO
A member briefed a route straight through a cell with tops at 52,000 feet, with the convective SIGMET to match, and the verdict came back GO. He was right to report it, and he was right that it was not a small thing. Thunderstorms now decide the verdict themselves instead of being averaged in with everything else.
- FixedIf your route enters a convective SIGMET area, or passes within 20 nm of one, the verdict is NO-GO. It does not matter how good the surface weather looks. Twenty miles is the clearance every primary text gives for a thunderstorm cell, so anything closer counts as flying through it.
- FixedA convective SIGMET further out but still in your corridor holds the verdict at CAUTION and tells you how far off your course it sits, so you can plan the deviation.
- FixedConvective SIGMETs are two-hour products that keep getting reissued for as long as the storms last. One that expires shortly before your departure now holds the verdict at CAUTION rather than letting it read GO, because storms do not pay attention to the expiry stamp.
- FixedAdvisories could also be missed entirely. If a leg of your route crossed the middle of a large advisory area between two airports, and the corners of that area were far enough from your course, it was filtered out before anything looked at it. Convective SIGMETs are exactly that shape: a few hundred miles across with only four or five corners. They are caught now.
- ImprovedThis applies to the scheduled briefing emails as well as the Weather Brief on the site.
- ImprovedA NO-GO verdict can now sit next to a score that still looks reasonable. That is deliberate: the number describes the whole sky, the verdict describes the one thing that will hurt you. The go/no-go help article explains it.

The role chips now tell you what they do
Deciding who to make Treasurer meant guessing what Treasurer could reach. The Members page showed seven role chips and said nothing about any of them, and the table that answers the question was only findable by searching the Help Center. Now the answer is on the chip.
- ImprovedHover any role chip, on a member record or in the Add member panel, for a one line summary of what that role grants and what it does not.
- ImprovedA "What can each role do?" link sits above the chips and goes straight to the full permissions article.
- NewThat article now carries a proper grid: nineteen things a club actually does, laid out against all seven roles, so you can see at a glance who can post to the ledger, who can ground an aircraft, and who can hand out roles.
- ImprovedA few corrections to the same article. It had not said that Treasurers and Safety Officers can open member records, nor that Instructors, Treasurers and Safety Officers can reach the activity reports. It now also notes that club settings are stored as one record, so a Treasurer editing billing settings can technically edit the rest of the page too. Worth knowing before you hand the role out.

Admins can add a member outright
Until now the only way to get somebody onto your roster was to send them an invite link and wait for them to act on it, which is no help at all when you are sitting down with a roster you already have and want to enter it. Now you can just add them.
- NewAdd member, in the top right of the Members page, creates the account for you. Enter a name, an email and their roles, and they are on the roster when you click save. Fill in their certificate, medical and billing right away without waiting for anybody.
- NewCleared360 emails the new member a link to choose their own password, so you never handle one. Their invitation says who added them and which club they have joined.
- ImprovedIf that email address already has a Cleared360 account, from another club or a previous membership, we add the existing account to your club instead of creating a second one. They keep the password they already use, and the panel tells you that is what happened.
- ImprovedInvite members is still there for when you would rather send one link to a group than type everyone in. The club code section now says plainly who it is for: somebody who has already signed in to Cleared360 somewhere else. It used to say "members who already have an account", which left admins wondering how anyone in their club would have got one.
August 13, 2026
Squawks now have a conversation on them
A squawk used to have room for the original write-up and, at the very end, how it was fixed. Everything in between had nowhere to go, so members kept reporting issues maintenance had already looked at. Now every squawk has a comment thread.
- NewOpen any squawk and you will find a comment thread under the details. Anyone in the club can post, at any status. Whoever checked the flat-spotted tire writes "pulled the wheel, no cord showing, ops check ok, still airworthy" and the whole club can see the aircraft has been assessed.
- NewA comment count sits beside the squawk on the Maintenance list and in Open squawks on the aircraft page. That is the part that stops the duplicate: you can tell a squawk has been triaged without opening it.
- NewYour name and the date are recorded automatically, so there is no need to sign or date what you write. Comments cannot be edited once posted, so nobody can quietly change what someone else already read. You can delete your own, and admins and maintenance can remove any.
- ImprovedComments do not email anybody, on purpose. Filing a squawk still alerts your admins and maintenance team right away; commenting on one is in-app only, so a working thread does not become another notification to filter away.

The schedule holds together on a phone
Scrolling the schedule sideways on a phone used to lose you: the aircraft headings slid out from over their own columns, and on week view the tail number disappeared off the left edge. Both are fixed.
- FixedDay view on a phone: the aircraft headings and the columns underneath them used to scroll separately, so sliding sideways to reach a tail number left you looking at a heading with nothing bookable under it. The grid now scrolls as one piece, the headings stay lined up with their columns, and the hours stay pinned to the left edge while you scroll across.
- ImprovedWeek view on a phone keeps the tail number pinned to the left edge as you scroll through the days, so you can always tell which aircraft a row belongs to.

Feedback you can follow, not just send
The Feedback button used to say "Thanks, we got it" and that was the last you heard. Now every report gets a ticket number, and a Feedback page in the sidebar shows you exactly where each one stands.
- NewEvery report you file comes back with a ticket number, like C360-1042, and a link straight to it. Quote that number in an email or on the phone and we both know exactly which one you mean.
- NewFeedback in the sidebar lists everything you have reported, newest activity first, with where each one stands: Received, Reviewed, Needs your input, Planned, In progress, Shipped, or Not planned. Anything we have shipped links to the release that fixed it.
- NewNeeds your input gets its own banner at the top of the page. If we are waiting on an answer from you, nothing moves until somebody replies, so it should be hard to miss.
- NewEvery ticket has a conversation on it. Add detail, say a problem is still happening, answer a question, or tell us you think a Not planned call is wrong. We read the replies.
- NewClub admins see every ticket their club has filed, not only their own, so you can spot when three members have hit the same thing. Admins can also file a report on behalf of a member who told them about it in the hangar, and it lands in that member's list too.
- NewAdmins can also keep a report inside the club. Tick "Keep this inside the club" and it never reaches us and no email is sent: it is your club's own note to itself, on the same page as everything else.

Pick your aircraft inside the booking dialog
The Book button opened on the first available aircraft and gave you no way to change it, so booking a different airplane meant closing the dialog and starting again. It is a dropdown now.
- ImprovedThe booking dialog now has an Aircraft dropdown listing your whole fleet. However you opened it, whether that is the Book button, a click on an aircraft's row, or a day in Month view, it starts on the aircraft you picked and you can change your mind without closing anything.
- ImprovedAircraft that are in maintenance or grounded are listed but cannot be selected, so you can see the whole fleet and tell at a glance why something is not bookable. If an aircraft goes out of service while you have the dialog open, the booking is stopped rather than saved.
- ImprovedSwitching aircraft re-checks your checkout as you do it. Pick a tail you are not checked out in and the notice that an instructor is required appears straight away, instead of after you have filled the rest of the form in.
- FixedThe Book button did nothing when no aircraft was marked available. It opens the dialog either way now, so you can see the fleet and what state each aircraft is in.
- ImprovedOne thing that has not changed: the aircraft on a booking that already exists is still fixed. To move a flight to a different airplane, cancel it and book again.

Instructor bios show up, and the Help Center tells the truth
We read every Help article back against the actual app and found 23 places where it described something that was not there. Those are fixed. One of them turned out to be the app's fault, not the docs'.
- NewInstructor bios are visible at last. The field was there and instructors were filling it in, but nothing ever displayed it. Your bio now appears on your member record and, more usefully, under your name when a member is picking an instructor for a flight. If you are a CFI, it is worth going to Settings and writing one.
- FixedThe Help Center told members to click a "New booking" button on the Schedule. The button is called Book. It also described picking your aircraft from a list inside the booking dialog, which is not how the main flow works, and claimed you only see aircraft you are checked out on, which was never true. All three are corrected.
- FixedJoining a club was documented as one path when it is really two. An invite link or invite code puts you straight in; a club code sends a request that an admin approves. The article now keeps them apart, so you know which one you are holding.
- FixedA scattering of wrong button names throughout Help: Deny instead of Decline on instruction requests, Approve minutes instead of Record the approval, Add AD/SB instead of Add manual AD/SB, and an instructor "unavailable reasons" list that does not exist. Settings was also described as having four tabs when instructors see five.

A roster you can actually work with at 100 members
The Members list sorted by first name, which is fine for a dozen people and unusable for a hundred. It now sorts by last name, sorts by any column you click, and shows what each pilot is rated to fly.
- ImprovedThe roster sorts by last name by default. Click any column heading to sort by it, and click it again to reverse. Members with nothing in that column stay at the bottom either way, so an empty field never buries the people you are looking for.
- ImprovedColumns sort the way you would expect rather than alphabetically. Certificates run Student up to ATP, currency puts whoever lapses soonest at the top, and balance leads with who owes the most.
- NewA Certs & ratings column showing each pilot's highest certificate and their ratings, so you can pick out a CFI or an instrument-rated pilot at a glance instead of opening records one at a time. Members see it too, which makes finding the right instructor a lot quicker.
- NewCleared360 works out each member's last name from their full name, including suffixes like Jr. and surnames like van Beethoven or de la Cruz. If it gets somebody wrong, there is now a "Sort as (last name)" field on their record. It only changes where they land in the sort, never how their name appears.
- FixedSome pilots were not being recognized as instrument-rated, which hid their IFR currency everywhere it should have shown, and could clear the date entirely the next time their record was saved. This affected records created before the ratings picker existed. Those records have been corrected and the currency dates were not lost.

Inviting members is where you would look for it
Adding people to your club used to live on the setup screen, which is fine on day one and useless afterwards. It now sits on the Members page, where you were already looking.
- NewAn Invite members button on the Members page, for admins. Create an invite link and send it to whoever you want in the club: they make an account from the link and land straight in your roster. Your club code is in the same panel for anyone who already has a Cleared360 account.
- NewJoin requests are handled in that same panel, with Approve or Deny next to each one. The button carries a count when somebody is waiting on you, so a request cannot sit there unnoticed.
- FixedA club that had finished its setup had no obvious way to invite anybody. Invites only existed on the setup screen, reached through a link that read "Join another club", so admins were going back through the setup wizard to add one person. Reported by a beta club, and the fix is the button above.
- FixedThe Help Center described two things that did not exist: an Invite members item in the club switcher, and an invite flow on the Members page. The switcher moves you between clubs and never invited anyone. Both articles now match the app.

Club meetings, from the agenda to the approved minutes
Your club can run its meetings in Cleared360 now: schedule one and everybody is told, take attendance on the night, and put the minutes somewhere members can actually find them.
- NewSchedule a meeting from the Clubhouse and every member is told straight away, with the agenda, the time and where it is happening. They are reminded again a week and a day before, and the reminder carries the agenda and the previous meeting's minutes, so people turn up having read them.
- NewMembers RSVP yes, no or maybe. On the night, whoever is chairing works down the roster marking who is actually in the room, with a live count against your quorum if your bylaws set one. An RSVP is not attendance, so nobody can be counted toward quorum from the car park.
- NewRecord what was moved and how it went, then write the minutes. They stay private to your officers while they are a draft, and every member is told the moment they are published. Approval happens at the NEXT meeting, the way a board actually works, and the record says which meeting adopted them.
- NewAnything somebody agreed to do becomes an action item with an owner and a due date, and shows up in an "assigned to you" list they can tick off themselves. If something of theirs is coming due they get one quiet note about it a week, and none at all when they have nothing due.
- ImprovedA meeting can appear on the Schedule alongside your bookings, and there is a printable packet with the agenda, the previous minutes and everything still outstanding. It is the same packet the reminder email sends, so the copy you file and the copy that went round are never different documents.
- ImprovedA new Secretary role covers the governance side without also handing over billing, the fleet and member records. Admins can do everything a secretary can, so a club that never uses the role loses nothing, and you can widen who runs meetings under Settings > Alerts > Club meetings.

Instruction requests and join requests stop sitting in silence
Two places where Cleared360 quietly expected somebody to keep checking a page. Asking an instructor now tells that instructor, and asking to join a club now tells the admins.
- NewPick an instructor when you book and that instructor is emailed straight away, with the aircraft, the time in your club local time, the pilot, and any notes you left. Until now the request sat on their Requests page until they thought to look.
- NewWhen the instructor accepts or declines, you hear about it, and so does whoever made the booking if that was somebody else. A decline says plainly that the aircraft is still reserved for you, so you can fly it solo if you are signed off, ask another instructor, or cancel the booking.
- NewAsk to join a club and every admin is emailed with your name and address. When one of them approves or denies the request, you are told. Nobody is left refreshing a page wondering whether anyone saw it.
- ImprovedBoth live in Settings > Booking > Booking emails, next to the booking confirmation and cancellation switches, so a club can turn any of the four off on its own.
July 31, 2026
Booking confirmations, and a club that hears when a plane goes down
Two things every club expects a scheduler to do, and Cleared360 did not: send a confirmation when a flight is booked, and tell the members when an aircraft comes out of service. Both are live.
- NewBook a flight and everyone on it gets a confirmation email, with a calendar invitation attached so it lands straight in Apple Calendar, Google, or Outlook. The instructor gets one too, and if they have not accepted the request yet, the email says so rather than implying the lesson is settled.
- NewIf somebody else cancels your flight, you now hear about it: who cancelled it, the reason they picked, and any note they left. The calendar invitation withdraws itself, so a cancelled flight does not sit on your calendar all week.
- NewGrounding an aircraft now tells the whole club. It pins an urgent notice in the Clubhouse and above the schedule, and it works however the grounding happened: a squawk, a maintenance item coming due, or an admin changing the status by hand. Before this, that email reached your admins and nobody else.
- NewAnyone holding a booking on a grounded aircraft gets their own email naming their flight and its time, so they find out before they drive to the airport. They hear again when the aircraft returns to service, and the grounded notice clears itself off the schedule.
- NewNew controls to match: Settings > Alerts > Plane down sets who hears about a grounding and whether booking holders get their own note, and Settings > Booking > Booking emails turns confirmations and cancellation notices on or off for your club.
July 30, 2026
Tell your whole club something, and know they got it
Club announcements now have a home of their own. Post once and it lands in the app for every member, goes out by email when it matters, and sits above the schedule when it really matters.
- NewThe new Clubhouse, in your sidebar, is where club news lives. Members see a feed with unread markers, so nothing gets lost, and the sidebar carries a count of what they have not read yet.
- NewAdmins write a post, choose whether it goes to everyone or just one role, and decide whether it emails the club or simply waits in the app. You see how many members it reaches, and how many of those are reachable by email, before you send it.
- NewMark a post urgent and it reaches every member with an email address on file, even the ones who normally keep club email switched off. That is deliberate: when an aircraft is grounded, everyone needs to know. You can turn the override off for your club in Settings > Alerts.
- NewPin a post and it also appears as a banner above the schedule, where members already look. Schedule a post for a future date, set an expiry so it clears itself, and open the delivery report to see who was emailed and who has read it.
- ImprovedAnnouncements used to hide behind a button on the Members page, which is exactly why members never found them. That button now takes you to the Clubhouse.
July 22, 2026
Collect club dues without the spreadsheet
Set up your membership types once, and Cleared360 bills each member's dues straight to their ledger, prorating anyone who joins mid-period. It runs on the payments you already take: cash, check, or anything your treasurer records.
- NewDefine membership types in Settings > Billing > Membership & dues, each with its own dues amount and a monthly, quarterly, or annual cadence. Add a one-time join fee and recurring add-ons like a tie-down or an insurance share, then assign each member a type and a start date on the Members page.
- NewGenerate a period's dues in one click. Preview shows the total, how many members are billed, and how many are prorated before anything posts. Then the dues, add-ons, join fees, and any special assessments land on each member's ledger next to their flight charges and fuel. It is safe to repeat, since no member is ever billed twice for the same period, and you can switch on optional monthly auto-generation to have it run for you.
- NewSpecial assessments let you add a one-time charge, such as a new-avionics buy-in or an insurance true-up, to the whole club, one membership type, or a single member.
July 15, 2026
Alert-only reminders keep your aircraft available
A maintenance reminder set to "Alert only" now stays exactly that: it reminds you, but it never takes the aircraft out of service, even when it is overdue.
- FixedAn overdue "Alert only" reminder no longer flags an aircraft as in maintenance. Only reminders set to "Ground aircraft" take a plane out of service now; anything set to Alert only just keeps sending its reminders and leaves the aircraft bookable. Any aircraft that was stuck this way is cleared for you automatically.
July 14, 2026
AD review digest, and sharper AD matching
New Airworthiness Directive candidates now come to your inbox, and they fit your aircraft better. A once-daily digest tells your alert roles what needs review, and the fleet matcher stops proposing directives for the wrong model.
- NewWhen new AD candidates appear for your fleet, Cleared360 now emails a once-daily review digest to your AD alert roles (admins and the maintenance team by default). It lists each directive, the tail numbers it matched, and a link to the Federal Register entry, so nobody has to remember to check the AD/SB tab. Each person is told about a given AD once. Set who receives it in Settings > Alerts > AD/SB tracking.
- ImprovedAD candidate matching is now model-aware. When a directive names specific models, it only shows up on the aircraft it actually fits, so a King Air directive no longer lands on your Bonanza just because both are Beechcraft. Directives that do not name a model still appear fleet-wide for your make, because a missed AD is worse than an extra one to dismiss. The more you fill in on each aircraft record (model, series, engine, propeller), the sharper the match.
- ImprovedCandidates the tighter rule would no longer propose are cleared out for you, but only when nobody has touched them. Anything you have reviewed, grounded, or logged compliance against is left exactly as it is.
July 13, 2026
Smarter hazard advisories in the Weather Brief
The go/no-go verdict now only counts SIGMETs and AIRMETs your flight will actually meet: right time window, right altitudes. No more NO-GO for tonight's high-altitude icing when your flight is on Thursday.
- ImprovedAdvisories must overlap your flight window (departure through estimated arrival) to affect your score or your Pilot & Aircraft checks. An icing AIRMET that expires this evening no longer forces a NO-GO for a flight days away.
- ImprovedAdvisories based entirely above typical GA cruise altitudes (12,000 ft) no longer count against a flight that never climbs into them, and the known-icing equipment warning only fires on icing you could actually meet. Thunderstorm SIGMETs always count, whatever their stated base.
- ImprovedNothing is hidden: advisories that do not affect your flight stay in the SIGMETs & AIRMETs panel marked "info only" with the reason, and AIRMET descriptions now include the altitude band they cover.
- ImprovedFor flights further out than advisories are issued (about 12 hours), the category breakdown says advisories are not issued yet for your window instead of implying clear air. The same rules apply to your 1-day and morning-of briefing emails.

AD and Service Bulletin tracking
A per-aircraft Airworthiness Directive and Service Bulletin register on the Maintenance page, fed by an FAA-synced catalog and reviewed by your people. Track what applies, log compliance, and hand your IA a clean packet at annual.
- NewThe Maintenance page gains an AD/SB tab: a compliance register for every aircraft in the fleet. New Airworthiness Directives sync in daily from the Federal Register and are proposed as candidates for your fleet; your maintenance team reviews each one against the official applicability text (with direct links to the source) and records applies, not applicable, or superseded. Candidates are suggestions, never determinations: your A&P or IA still owns the airworthiness call.
- NewCompliance that fits the directive. A one-time AD stays open until compliance is recorded with the method, date, meter reading, reference, and sign-off. A recurring AD creates a linked maintenance reminder, so it gets due tracking, lead alerts, and history like any other inspection, and a terminating action closes it out for good. Optionally, an applicable uncomplied one-time AD can hold the aircraft and block dispatch until compliance is recorded.
- NewService Bulletins and SAIBs can be added by hand and tracked through the same review and compliance flow, and each aircraft's full AD status list exports as a printable report or CSV: the packet an owner hands the IA at annual.
- NewClub controls under Settings > Alerts > AD/SB tracking: turn the FAA candidate feed on or off per club (turning it on checks your whole fleet immediately) and choose which roles hear about new candidates to review.

Maintenance polish from your feedback
First refinements to the new maintenance reminders, straight from beta club feedback: sort the list your way, set an aircraft's status directly, and stale maintenance flags clear themselves.
- ImprovedThe reminders list now sorts by what is due soonest, so the next item needing attention is always at the top. Click any column header (Priority, Reminder, Aircraft, or Due) to sort by it, and click again to flip the direction.
- NewAdmins and the maintenance team can now set an aircraft's status directly from its record: flag it as In Maintenance or mark it Available again, right next to the existing Ground button. A status you set by hand stays until you change it.
- FixedAn aircraft that was automatically flagged In Maintenance because a reminder was overdue now returns to Available on its own once nothing is overdue anymore. Previously the flag could stick around after the work was corrected or completed.
- ImprovedWhen the reminders list is filtered to one aircraft, Add Reminder and From template now start with that aircraft already selected.
July 3, 2026
Maintenance reminders that track themselves
Maintenance items are now proper recurring reminders: set the interval once, get warned ahead of time, reset with one tap when the work is done, and optionally ground the aircraft the moment something comes due.
- NewReminders now match how maintenance is actually due. Pick the type that fits: every X hours on Tach or Hobbs (oil changes, 100-hour), every X days or months after the last time it was done (annual, ELT, pitot-static), both at once with whichever comes first (engine TBO), a fixed calendar date, or a one-time item. The list shows a live countdown against the right meter or date for each reminder.
- NewAdd as many advance warnings as you want to each reminder, for example 30 days and 7 days before the annual, or 5 hours before the oil change. Cleared360 checks daily and emails your maintenance audience as each warning crosses, and again when the item is due. Set the club-wide default audience in Settings, and override it on any individual reminder, including adding specific members.
- NewWhen the work is done, one tap on Complete + Reset logs the finished cycle to the reminder's history (when it was due, when and by whom it was completed, and the meter reading) and re-arms the same reminder for the next interval. No more re-creating the annual every year; the full history stays on the reminder.
- NewAny reminder can be set to ground the aircraft when it comes due. A grounded-when-due aircraft cannot be dispatched by anyone until the work is completed and the reminder resets, at which point it returns to service automatically. The seeded Annual and 100-Hour templates come preset to ground; everything else defaults to alert only. Seed from Template now fills in intervals, warnings, and grounding presets for the standard FAA items, including a new Engine TBO starter.
- ImprovedCompleting the maintenance item that was keeping an aircraft grounded now returns the aircraft to service automatically once nothing else is holding it, the same way resolving a grounded squawk already works.

Your weather brief reads in plainer English
Temperatures in the plain-language brief now show Fahrenheit alongside Celsius, and the raw weather codes are spelled out in plain words.
- ImprovedThe plain-language weather brief is now easier to read at a glance. Temperatures show both scales, for example "temperature 19.4C (67F)", instead of Celsius only. And the raw weather codes that used to slip through are now written out in plain words, so "BR reported" now reads "mist reported", "-RA" reads "light rain", and "+TSRA" reads "heavy thunderstorm with rain". This applies to the Weather Brief in the app and to your scheduled briefing and go/no-go emails.

Record a flight you forgot to dispatch
Flew without dispatching first? You can now record the flight yourself after it ends, instead of having to ask a club admin.
- ImprovedIf you forget to dispatch before you fly, you no longer have to track down an admin to fix it. Open the booking after it ends, dispatch it with the Hobbs and Tach readings from when you departed, then check in with the readings from when you returned. You will see a note that you are recording a past flight. This works for the pilot on the booking and the assigned instructor for up to 7 days after the booking, after which a club admin can still record it. Booking ahead and dispatching on the day still work exactly as before.

See forecasted cloud layers in your weather brief
The Weather Brief now shows the cloud layers forecast for your flight, in feet above the ground, along your whole route instead of just a single ceiling.
- NewEach airport card now shows a forecast cloud layers line, for example FEW 040, SCT 080, BKN 120, read in hundreds of feet above the ground. Instead of a single ceiling, you see the stack of layers the model expects, with their bases and coverage (few, scattered, broken, or overcast). It covers your whole route: the departure, each waypoint, and the destination, each one forecast for the time you actually reach it, so you can spot a deck you would have to climb or descend through en route. The same detail appears in your plain-language briefing and your scheduled go/no-go emails. These layers are model-derived forecasts, shown as extra awareness on top of the brief, and they do not change your go/no-go result or the official reported ceiling.

Fix a wrong tach or Hobbs reading after check-in
Admins and treasurers can now correct the readings on a completed flight, so a mistyped tach or Hobbs entry no longer means a stuck, wrong charge.
- NewA completed flight used to be read-only, so a wrong Hobbs or tach reading entered at check-in could not be fixed in the app. Now an admin or treasurer can open the completed booking and click Correct flight record to edit the out and in readings. The flight time and charge are recalculated automatically on the aircraft’s billing meter. If the charge was already posted to the ledger, the correction reverses the original with a credit and reposts the corrected amount, so member balances, the audit trail, and any QuickBooks export stay clean.

See a day’s bookings from the month view
In Month view, tap any day to see the reservations on it, then add a new booking right from the same place.
- ImprovedThe month calendar used to show only small dots for a day’s bookings, with no way to read them without switching views. Now, tapping a day that has bookings opens a list showing each reservation with the pilot, aircraft, and time. Tap any one to open its full details, or use Add a booking at the bottom to make a new reservation for that day. Tapping a day with nothing on it goes straight to a new booking, just like before.

Book on the half hour
The schedule now lets you reserve aircraft in 30-minute increments, so a booking can start or end on the half hour (for example 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM).
- ImprovedStart and end times in the booking dialog are now available every 30 minutes instead of only on the hour. Pick a time like 8:30 AM or 5:30 PM to match how your flights actually run. The schedule grid and time labels show the half-hour times exactly as booked, and aircraft remain bookable around the clock.
June 18, 2026
Briefing emails now arrive on the right days
Your scheduled flight briefings now go out exactly 7, 3, and 1 days before your flight, plus the morning of, with the timing labeled correctly.
- FixedScheduled briefing emails could arrive on the wrong schedule and with a misleading label. A flight booked four days out, for example, could receive a briefing titled "7 days out." Briefings now follow a simple, exact-day schedule: you get one when your flight is exactly 7, 3, or 1 days away, and one on the morning of the flight. If you book closer in than a given mark, you simply start at the next one (a flight booked four days out begins with the accurate 3-day briefing), and the morning-of briefing now lands in the morning in your club timezone. The day count is always correct.

Clear skies no longer show a phantom ceiling
When the forecast for your flight window called for clear skies, the briefing could report a ceiling of -100 ft. Clear skies now read correctly as no ceiling.
- FixedFor flights far enough out that the forecast came from the national gridded model (beyond the TAF window), a clear sky could show up as a ceiling of -100 ft in the written briefing and the briefing email. That was a unit-conversion quirk in how the model signals "no ceiling," not real weather. Clear skies now correctly show no ceiling, and a real forecast ceiling still reports its actual height.

Your go/no-go now matches your flight-time forecast
The GO/NO-GO call and your personal-minimums checks now use the forecast for your departure and arrival window, the same forecast the written briefing already leads with, instead of the weather at the moment the email was sent.
- FixedThe briefing GO/NO-GO score and the pilot and aircraft checks were still based on conditions at the time the email was sent, even though the written briefing already led with the forecast for your flight window. That could flip the call: a gust reported at send time could read NO-GO when the forecast for your departure was well within your limits, or calm conditions at send time could read GO when the forecast for your flight window had gusts above your personal minimum. The score, your personal-minimums checks, and the favored-runway crosswind now all use the forecast for your departure and arrival window, so the verdict agrees with the briefing. Current conditions still appear as a "right now" reference, and when no forecast reaches your flight time the briefing falls back to current conditions as before.

Times now follow your club timezone
Set your club timezone once and every time in the app, plus your briefing emails, shows in that zone, with UTC alongside for flight planning.
- NewA new club timezone setting under Settings, Booking rules. Pick your club zone once and times across the app render in it, no matter where a member is viewing from. Flight and booking times also show the UTC (Zulu) time in parentheses for a quick sanity check.
- FixedScheduled briefing emails could state the wrong departure time (for example a 3 PM flight described as a 7 PM departure) when the club was not in US Eastern time. Briefings now use your club timezone, so the time in the briefing matches the time on the booking.
- ImprovedThe schedule, booking details, and instructor requests now show and store times in your club timezone. If you book a 3 PM flight it stays 3 PM for everyone in the club, even members viewing from another timezone. The schedule header shows which zone is in use.

Reports and briefings load while supporting another club
Admins who view or support a club they are not a member of, or who view the app as another member, can now open reports and briefings without errors.
- FixedWhen a platform admin acted in a club they do not belong to, or viewed the app as another member, pages like Past briefings, treasurer reports, member activity, and the ledger export could fail to load. They now open normally. The Past briefings error message was also reworded so a temporary loading hiccup no longer points you at the wrong thing.

Open your flight briefings on the web
Briefing emails now open the briefing right on the site, exactly as it was sent, and every briefing is kept as a record you can browse.
- NewThe Open this briefing button in your scheduled briefing emails now takes you to that briefing on the website, shown exactly as it was emailed, with a note of when it was generated and a one-click way to pull a fresh live brief for the same route and time. Every briefing is saved, so you can browse past briefings from the Weather Brief page. You see your own briefings; instructors, safety officers, and admins can see the whole club's, which makes it a handy recency and currency record.

See who is flying and who is current
The Reports page has a new Activity tab showing hours flown, last flight, and currency for every member, over any date range.
- NewOpen Reports and choose the Activity tab to see, for every member, how many flights they flew, their Hobbs and tach hours, when they last flew, and their currency at a glance (Flight Review, IFR, Night, and Medical). Pick a date range or a preset like This month, sort by hours or last flight, and click any member to see their hours broken out by aircraft. Print it for a board or safety meeting, or download it as a CSV. Activity is available to admins, treasurers, instructors, and safety officers, so instructors can watch student recency and safety officers can keep an eye on currency across the club. Hours come from flights checked in through the app.

Treasurer reports for board meetings and the books
Admins and treasurers get a new Reports page with formatted financials from the club ledger, ready to print for a board packet.
- NewThere is a new Reports page in the sidebar for admins and treasurers. Pick a date range, or a quick preset like This month or This quarter, and see three things: an income summary (billed, collected, credits, and the net change in balances), a member balance roster showing who owes what and the club total outstanding, and a per-member statement with opening balance, the period's entries, and closing balance. Print it or save it as a PDF for your board packet, or download any table as a CSV.
June 13, 2026
Export your club ledger for QuickBooks
Admins and treasurers can now export the club ledger as a CSV ready to import into QuickBooks Online or other accounting software.
- NewThere is a new Export ledger button on the Members page. Choose a date range and a format, and download a CSV of the club ledger. Three formats are available: a QuickBooks Online bank-transaction file that imports on any plan, a QuickBooks journal-entries file for proper double-entry bookkeeping, and a plain spreadsheet file for Excel or other accounting software. You can also export a single member from their record. A step-by-step QuickBooks import guide explains exactly how to map the columns.

See open squawks at a glance
The Squawks tab in Maintenance now shows a count of how many squawks are still open.
- NewThe Squawks tab on the Maintenance screen now carries a badge with the number of open squawks, so you can see at a glance how many issues still need attention without opening the tab. The count updates automatically as squawks are reported and resolved.

AIRMETs are back on your weather brief
Turbulence, icing, and IFR AIRMETs along your route show on the Weather Brief again and count toward your go/no-go.
- FixedAIRMETs (Sierra, Tango, and Zulu) are showing on the Weather Brief again, now drawn directly from the National Weather Service. Any AIRMET for turbulence, icing, or IFR conditions that touches your route appears in the SIGMETs and AIRMETs card, on the map, and is factored into your go/no-go score and written briefing, on both the page and your briefing emails.

Your weather brief now forecasts your flight time, not just right now
The briefing and the briefing emails now tell you what it will be like when you actually depart and arrive.
- ImprovedThe written briefing now leads with the forecast for your planned departure and arrival times instead of describing current conditions. It draws on the TAF when your flight is within its range, and on the national forecast and model guidance further out, so even a flight several days away gets a real outlook for the window you are flying.
- NewThe Weather Brief page has a new "Forecast for your flight window" card showing the expected wind, visibility, ceiling, and flight category at your departure time and your estimated arrival, with a label for which forecast it came from.
- ImprovedThe 7-day and 3-day briefing emails now carry an actual forecast for your flight window, plus a plain-language excerpt from the local forecast office discussion, rather than a snapshot of current weather. As always, model guidance that far out is a trend, not a guarantee, so re-check closer to departure.

Around-the-clock booking and better multi-day reservations
Night flights, dawn departures, and weekend trips now look the way they should on the schedule.
- ImprovedAircraft can now be booked at any hour of the day, not just 6 AM to 10 PM. The day view shows all 24 hours, with the late-night stretch shaded so the working day still stands out at a glance.
- ImprovedMulti-day reservations show as one continuous block across the week and month views instead of a chopped-up piece per day, so a weekend trip reads as a single trip. Booking details now show the full length of multi-day reservations correctly.
- NewReservations can now be edited. Open a booking and choose Edit to change the date, time, instructor, route, or notes without cancelling and rebooking. Available to the pilot, the assigned instructor, and club admins.

Fuel tracking at check-in
Log fuel the way you already log oil, and get reimbursed without the shoebox of receipts.
- NewClubs can turn on fuel tracking in Settings. At check-in, members record the gallons they added, what they paid, and where, right next to the oil entry. Flights that added no fuel just leave it blank.
- NewIf your club reimburses members for fuel, pick how: pay back actual cost up to a per-gallon cap, or pay a fixed club rate per gallon. The credit posts to the member ledger automatically the moment the flight is checked in, and members see the credit amount before they submit.
June 10, 2026
Booking reminder emails
Nobody forgets a flight, and the airplane never sits idle on a no-show.
- NewPilots and their assigned instructor now get a reminder email before each flight, at lead times your club chooses (default: 24 hours and 2 hours before). Each reminder includes the aircraft, date, and time, plus a nudge to cancel early if plans changed so the airplane frees up for other members.
- ImprovedWeather briefing emails now open with the booking details (tail number, day, and time) front and center, and members who already receive briefings are never sent a duplicate reminder for the same flight.
June 10, 2026
Photos on squawks
A picture of the problem is worth a paragraph in the write-up.
- NewAttach up to 5 photos when you report a squawk, whether you file it from the Maintenance page, the aircraft detail panel, or at check-in after a flight. On your phone, the Add button opens your camera or photo library.
- NewPhotos show as a thumbnail strip in the squawk detail view, with tap-to-enlarge. Your maintenance team and admins can add or remove photos on any squawk afterwards, and reporters can keep adding photos while their squawk is still open.
June 9, 2026
Booking rules: balance and currency checks
Reservations now respect your club rules at booking time, not just at the airplane.
- NewBlock booking on expired currency: turn this on in Settings and a member cannot book a flight when their flight review or medical will be expired on the flight date. Booking with an instructor is always allowed, so scheduling the flight review itself still works, and pilots with no dates on file are never blocked.
- ImprovedBlock bookings on low balance is now enforced when the reservation is made: a member below your club minimum (less the grace amount) sees a clear message in the booking window asking them to bring the account current first. Admins can still book for anyone.
- FixedSaving Booking rules and Member billing in Settings works again. A bug introduced with multi-club support was silently discarding those saves.

New club roles and automatic squawk alerts
Hand off maintenance, the books, and safety to the right people, and make sure a new squawk never goes unnoticed.
- NewSquawk alerts: when anyone reports a squawk, your admins and maintenance team are emailed right away, so a grounded aircraft or a new write-up never sits unseen. Admins can add anyone else to the alert list under Settings. (Email now, with text and push notifications on the way.)
- NewMaintenance role: let your maintenance officer manage squawks and maintenance items and ground or return an aircraft to service, without giving them access to billing or member records.
- NewTreasurer role: hand the books to your treasurer with full access to member balances, charges, payments, credits, block-time packages, and billing settings, plus the ability to keep member records up to date.
- NewSafety Officer role: your safety officer can manage member currency, medical, and ratings, manage aircraft checkouts, and flag a member as approval-required.
- ImprovedOnly admins can assign roles, including the admin role, so handing someone a job never accidentally hands over control of the whole club.
- ImprovedYou can now report a squawk right from an aircraft's page, advisory or grounded, in addition to the Maintenance page and check-in. A grounded squawk takes the aircraft offline immediately.

Clearer pilot records and Tach-only aircraft
Member currency is easier to get right, BasicMed is fully supported, and aircraft that bill on Tach (or have no Hobbs) now work end to end.
- NewEach aircraft can use Hobbs and Tach, Hobbs only, or Tach only, and you choose which meter it bills on. Dispatch and check-in only ask for the meters that aircraft actually uses.
- NewBasicMed pilots can now record both required dates: the physician exam on its 48-month cycle and the online medical course on its 24-month cycle.
- ImprovedCurrency dates are now entered as the date each item expires (flight review, night, and IFR), matching how the medical already works, so there is no more guessing whether to enter the last date or the expiry.
- ImprovedIFR currency now appears only when a pilot has the Instrument rating set, keeping the profile tidy for VFR-only members.
- ImprovedSchedule bookings are colored by status (upcoming, flying now, completed) so the day reads at a glance.

Cleared360 on your phone
The app now works properly on mobile, so you can check the schedule, dispatch, squawk, and brief from the ramp.
- NewApp-style bottom navigation on phones: Schedule, Aircraft, Maintenance, and Weather one thumb-tap away, with everything else under More.
- ImprovedBooking opens as a bottom sheet, the schedule defaults to day view on phones, and dispatch, check-in, and squawk reporting all fit a phone screen.
- FixedThe bottom navigation no longer disappears behind the browser toolbar or after tapping around the aircraft list.
